WEDDING STEP CARD

Another step card idea!  You can tell they are a favourite as they always look like you are extremely clever and of course the card is already made for you so all you have to do is to  decorate it.
In this case the theme is wedding (just in case you needed this explanation!) and grey and olive green has been used to pick up the colours in the decorations. The darker grey colour helps to make it pop and with it recessed in the back, also gives the card some depth. The dots across the front of the card comes from a length of ribbon.

WEDDING TURRETS

What a fabulous card Sharon has made using the Kaiser " Two Souls" papers. She has used an A4 piece of card to make the foundation then used the collectables set to decorate. Of course you could decorate with die cuts or stickers or whatever you like. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but the card has a bridge band across the front  and there is a cavity between the front and back of the card . The bridge has been used to place the greeting on. The pale mint green sets off the the papers beautifully and is a very delicate look. Great for a wedding or perhaps a lady.
This particular card design can be made in a smaller version using the three panel card and just fold back the sides.

Regal sells a range of colours in gloss card but black is a favourite - its just so hard to photograph. particularly under flouro lights.  Still if  you don't know me you now have a picture (of sorts) for reference!

We've just had these really lovely liquid chrome pens come in at Regal.  They give a really shiny silver finish to most surfaces.
For this card I've used them to colour in embossing and wooden shapes as well as to add a couple of hand drawn dots at the end and to rule a silver border around the sides and base of the card.

The photo really doesn't do justice, but the silver looks very effective on the black, so if  you are looking for an engagement or wedding card that's just a little different, something like this might be worth considering,

I folded the DL card myself and if you want to do this, do remember to gently score before folding because the gloss surface can sometimes crack if you don't.

LATTICE CARD

This is another one of those nice cards that come pre-cut from Regal so you can get right on with the fun bit.

Sharon as put some decorative paper (a fine pattern, as the one she has used is probably best) under the lattice panels, and added silver stickers onto the "bars".  Denim blue pearls in two sizes complete the card.

The card itself is made from thick textured white cardstock, and you can imagine how easy it would be to add special white papers and pearls for a wedding, or pastels for a baby or red rhinestones and gold paper for Christmas etc etc - there are so many possibilities

This lovely layered card could be used for all sorts of occasions, but engagements and weddings spring immediately to mind.

Marilyn has used a collection of layered materials to decorate the front of the card, creating a variety of textures and patterns which are tied together by the use of the black, white and silver colour scheme.

Working left to right there is printed organza ribbon, cotton mesh, black satin adhesive leaves, specialty paper, white organza ribbon with silver glitter hearts, and a congratulations peel-off sticker, coloured black.  Two paper flowers with rhinestones added to the centre have been added as a final finishing touch.
(All materials including the smooth square base card came from Regal Craft Cards).

MAKE A BOX CARD FROM A SQUARE CARD

Here's an easy way to make a folding box card using a pre-existing square single fold card.

Cut a double-sided tape width of card of the front of your card, measure and score down the corresponding edge of the card back.

Measure the width of the back after the edge has been cut off, and score a line half way.  Do the same between the fold and the scored edge of the front (the four panels you've created should all be the same size).

Decide how big you'd like your flaps to be.
Cut down along the folds to this length and score along the edge you'll be folding down.  (You can fold all four down, or leave the one at the back sitting up.  Cut across to the edge of the back panel from the last cut so that you are left with a tab.  Score Put some doublesided tape on this tab and stick the panels into a box shape.  Make two or three little rectangles to fit the inside of the box, bend the edges into tabs and secure with the flat side facing the front.

Now all that remains to be done is to go wild with the decoration........in this case a Sparklelight 3d sheet from Regal Craft Cards, spread over the card, with elements attached to little "sticks" made of acetate so they appear to be floating above the main part of the card

Janet has combined papers from Kaiser's Chanteuse collection, with Regal's scallop-edge cards (SCE1) to make this beautiful card.   Janet has used a white base, but the cards are also available in ivory.

Subtle inking enhances the various elements, and embellishments - small rhinestones and paper flowers have been carefully placed to enhance the printed design.

Its a little hard to see in the picture, but Janet has coloured a greeting sticker with a permanant marker that matches the pinks of the paper and attached it to a pale green background.  More decorative paper adorns the middle of the card.

This would be a lovely design for a special birthday or even a wedding.

NON-TRADITIONAL WEDDING CARD

Marty has used stamps from Stamp-It and papers from Kaiser, on a black Regal singlefold card base to create this special wedding card.

If the couple for whom the card is intended aren't the white lace and pearl types, there are plenty of alternatives and this is an example of one non-traditional approach.

Note the way that Marty has used several greetings, matting two for added impact, and the way that he has framed the third by tearing the top paper and inking the edges.

This card would be quite quick to make, and by choosing another colour of base card from Regal's extensive range, and using matching papers and inks, the design could be adapted to reflect the bride or groom's favourite colour, or the theme they have chosen for their big day.

We still have a few cards to share from the demo Marty Munro did for Regal a few months back.  This is one of my favourie cards - a modern take on the elegant black and white colour scheme.

Marty has used paper from a Kaiser pad as the background, putting a row of ric-rac where the print and leaf patterns join.  He has fussy cut two butterflies to adorn the top, and stamped "Wedding Wishes" on a matted panel for the bottom.

Marty's cards always look great, and one of the reasons is the attention he gives to precise borders and straight placements, which are particularly important in otherwise simple cards.  Another reason, of course, is that he has really good ideas in the first place!!

Marty has made all three of these cards from the Wedding, Sparklelight Decoupage 3D Kit, available from Regal Craft.  These sets contain two die-cut sheets and include borders, greetings and backgrounds as well as the actual 3D pictures.  All you need to add is the base card, some foam tape or silicone glue, and your artistic input!

Lorraine has a real talent for producing elegant cards and this is no exception.  She has used a base from Regal for the main body of the fan, but has decorated the edge with "Cuttlebugged" burgundy card, edged with a lacy sticker.

At the bottom she has cleverly used one of the push-outs from the Regal fan aperture cards, inked the edged and decorated it with some hand-rolled roses with gold and white leaves.

White satin ribbons complete the project.

BRAND NEW FAN CARD

Regal have just released a brand new product - a fan kit which comes with five individual pieces to decorate as well as a  post screw to fix them together (so that the fan can fold up).  This would make a pretty table decoration for a wedding, an extra special card or a little mini scrapbook. This product is now on their website.  Its always fun to play with a new release.  I made the model on the left using Graphic45 papers, Lorraine did the fab version in the middle with cuttlebugged pieces and handmade rolled roses, and Tania made the fan to the right using Kaiser paper and lots of embellishments.!!
