BUTTONS BIRTHDAY CARD

Buttons, buttons and buttons, what useful little items they are to add interest to your card. Regal Craft Shop has quite a few in store and as you can see by Tanias card can make a good generic birthday card. This card is bright and cheery and would be great for a teenager or a young man perhaps. Tania has used the Regal three window cutout card and just chosen a complimentary variety of papers to add some life and interest. The sticker has been coloured using a permanent pen. Easy and quick.

STAR CARD

Roma made this striking card from a 12x12 card piece. Its called a star card. Apparently the pattern is available online.
Great teen boy card although in this case has been made for a girl.
The pattern is apparently on line but is basically four equal size triangles slotted into each other.

Marilyn has made a quick but effective card featuring an image cut from a piece of paper from the "Threatened" series by Fabscraps.

You don't need a lot of supplies to make this card, just a selection of co ordinated papers, some adhesive pearls, double-sided tape and some scissors.

We sometimes get a big fixated on die-cutting, special inks and suchlike, and its a good reminder that design is the major factor in any card!  Why not sit around and play with some scrap paper, and come up with some new ideas.

Oh, and of course, I should have mentioned that underneath the layers is a Regal Craft base card!

I get a little bit of teasing at work because I'm forever rummaging through the printery bins fishing out little bits of scrap paper that "might be useful".
Every now and again I have to actually make a card to demonstrate that said bits of paper can indeed be put to good use!

As you've probably guessed this is one of those cards.  I've used a die from Ultimate Crafts (there was still one left at Regal last time I looked) to cut a white background, and blue surround, and then threaded the narrow little off-cuts in and out of the holes in the background in both directions, leaving the ends untrimmed.  .  The result is a fun card, perhaps for a teenager or someone who likes a little bit of disorder.

The base is a textured single fold card from Regal Craft Cards. Put a fairish old amount of double sided tape on the back to make sure everything stays in place when you stick the woven motif down.  I've just added a happy birthday sticker and a little group of three sticker stars to finish.

ADVENTURE CARD

This great card for the young at heart could be used for birthdays or bon voyage and for either male or female receiptients.

Marilyn has used paper from the Graphic 45 Worlds Fair Collection to fussy cut the features. The patterned background is from Kaiser.

Accents are provided by a row of gold rhinestones under the "Adventure" and in the top corner.

The card base is a singlefold ivory textured card (PL4) from Regal Craft Cards.

All in all a quick but effective card for many occasions!

Trudy used a box zigzag card from Regal Craft Cards to make this great collage card - brilliant as a Bon Voyage greeting, a birthday card for a teenager or keen photographer or really just for anyone who appreciates a well-made card.  It features a die-cut butterfly, bird and kangaroo, as well as a selection of different papers and more.  If you like a well-decorated card, the box zigzag gives you plenty of surface area to play with, and Trudy's example will hopefully provide the inspiration to get started!
